Have a conversation about conservation

Members of a local friends group are inviting people with an interest in improving their local environment to have a conversation about conservation at their open day next week.

The Maun Conservation Group is on the look-out for new members and will be showcasing their work to improve Titchfield Park, the Quarry Lane Local Nature reserve and the Oakham Local Nature Reserve at the event.

The open day takes place on Monday 15th December at Titchfield Park pavilion, from 1pm to 4pm.

The group has supported Mansfield District Council by organising numerous activities, including litter-picks, installing new facilities and contributing to the long-term and day-to-day management of the local nature reserves and Titchfield Park.

For further information, contact the Council's Parks Development service on 01623 463510.
