New wheelchair facility at Christmas Lights Event
Following requests from members of the public, Mansfield District Council is pleased to announce there will be a wheelchair viewing platform for this year's Christmas Lights Switch-On event.

The event takes place on Thursday 13 November in Mansfield Town Centre Market Place and features X Factor and Celeb Air star Chico, Children's TV star Peppa Pig, Paralympic Gold medallist Sam Hynd and the cast from Sleeping Beauty, this year's pantomime at the Palace Theatre.
The fun starts at 5.30pm with the Chad and Mansfield 103.2 roadshow, leading up to the main Switch-On at 6.45pm.
Lisa Vincent, Town Centre Events and Promotions Co-ordinator, commented: "I am really pleased that we are able to offer a wheelchair viewing platform for the Christmas Lights Switch-On this year."
"Many people have suggested this in the past, and I hope it will allow more people to enjoy the event than ever before."
Places on the wheelchair viewing platform are limited. The platform will be accessible from a non-slip ramp. Due to road closures, it will not be possible to bring motor vehicles into the Market Place.
Tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis: to book, please contact Lisa Vincent on 01623 463802 or e-mail: lvincent@mansfield.gov.uk.
