Tribute Triumph!
Mansfield's first Summer Music Sundae held yesterday was deemed a great success by organisers.
Mansfield Market Place was packed with 2000 revelers who took advantage of the sunny weather to enjoy the free event.

Entertaining the capacity crowd were some of the country's top pop tribute acts including: Girls R Aloud, a group of professionally trained vocalists and dancers who pull off every aspect of their tribute to Girls Aloud, from costumes to make up, accents to attitudes; Michael Jackson look-alike, Navi, who has performed for and acted as a decoy for the Prince of Pop on several occasions and Re-take That, whose show stopping audience participation had the crowd going wild.
Reggae and Swing acts got the day underway and the Mansfield 103.2 roadshow kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.
Lisa Vincent, Town Centre Events and Promotions Co-ordinator commented: "I am thrilled that the Summer Music Sundae event was a huge success."
"I am glad that so many people turned up at the event; the feedback we received on the day from members of the public was fantastic."
"The sun shone, the acts were amazing and Summer Music Sundae will definitely become a regular fixture of Summer in the Streets in future years."
