Taking pride in Warsop

Warsop will be the focus of a 'week of action' as local organisations spend seven days trying to make the area a cleaner and safer place for local people to live.

Warsop

Residents have raised concerns about their local area, with topics ranging from litter to a lack of activities for young people. From Monday 21st July 2008, a raft of agencies will join forces for a major plan of action to address some of these issues.

The 'week of action' is being organised by MPAC (Mansfield Partnership Against Crime), the group which brings together local councils, emergency services, charities, community groups and voluntary agencies to tackle crime and anti social behaviour in the district.

Residents will see a big presence of local organisations during the week with activities happening every day. These range from home fire safety advice, removing graffiti and tackling anti-social behaviour to tidying up grot spots, specialist support for drug users and alcoholics, activities for young people and targeting offenders.
